What does Your Spouse Want Out of Life?

In addition, do you know why your spouse wants what they want?  Can you answer these questions with confidence? If not, perhaps one of the important problems in your marriage is poor communication.

Another scenario is that your spouse does not have any clear goals or has an incomplete set of goals. Many people race through life without much reflection, focused primarily on work, pleasure, and/or avoiding pain.

But if you think you know what your spouse wants out of life and why:

1. How do you feel about their wants?
    
2. Do they consider you? 
    
3. Are they in sync with your wants? 
    
4. If not, why not?
    
5. How have your spouse’s goals, or lack thereof, affected your marriage?
