Religion

Ideally, you and your spouse have the same belief system when it comes to religion.  When this is the case, potential conflicts are greatly lessened.  You have similar views regarding morality and daily living, are usually close on the important issues in raising children, and worship and prayer together increases your bond.

However, many couples do not share the same belief system, even when they have the same religion. If this is the case in your marriage, you need to find common ground. 

As always, commitment to each other, communication, unselfishness, and personal development are key, as are the rules of conflict.  Also, if necessary, enlist the help of Church ministers and professional counselling.  Ministers can add a perspective that would not normally come from professional counselors.
