Humor
Humor is a form of communication. It can make people feel good, and this strengthens relationships. However, inappropriate humor can have the opposite effect.
Inappropriate humor in a marriage includes:
- Disgusting or obscene jokes, stories, movies, TV shows, etc.,
- Most practical jokes, since the “humor” comes at someone’s expense,
- Humor that insults or demeans anyone (e.g. racial, and ethnic jokes).
In general, if the humor is offensive or cruel, it is inappropriate for your marriage.
